The Hijacking of the LGBT: A Clarion Call for Action Against the Queer-Industrial Complex
The Urgent Need for LGB & TS Solidarity
A Crisis of Identity
There is a crisis unfolding in the heart of the LGBT. In the name of 'progress', our fundamental values have been upended, replaced with an ideological agenda that has strayed far from the struggles of those the community was established to protect. At the center of this crisis is queer theory, a paradigm that has hijacked the narrative and distorted the essence of what it means to be LGBT. It is an ideology that has morphed into a juggernaut of 'transgression', and 'queering' any and all boundaries without regard for the real-world consequences. In this process, language has been rendered meaningless and the focus of the LGBT has shifted dramatically away from the rights and needs of homosexuals and transsexuals.
"[The] absorption of gay and lesbian identity in service to the transgender Borg promises the illusion of allies in a common struggle while in fact inflicting the same fate already suffered by transsexuals; the dominant, heterosexual culture dismisses our individual uniqueness — we become just another part of them."
— Margaret Deirdre O’Hartigan, “Transgender as Borg”, 1997.
Collateral Damage of Queer Theory
In this Alice in Wonderland landscape, being LGBT is no longer about one's sexual orientation or sex reassignment and a dissonance with one’s biological sex. Instead, it's about challenging societal norms, rejecting binary conceptions of ‘gender’, and celebrating ‘fluidity’. This shift has imposed severe collateral damage on those for whom these labels were originally intended - homosexuals and transsexuals.
Transsexuals: Lost in the Shuffle
Transsexuals, particularly, have been victimised in this ideological upheaval. A group characterised by a distinct medical condition, transsexuals has been swallowed whole and erased by the catch-all term 'transgender,' an umbrella that encompasses an ever-expanding array of identities which have nothing to do with the medical, sex-based experience of transsexualism.

"Since this Anglo-American celebration of 'Transgender' identity functions to make transsexuals disappear, it reinforces a more general social relation in which transsexuality is both unthinkable and impossible."
— Viviane Namaste, "Invisible Lives", 2000.
An Unwanted Alliance
The result of this conflation is that transsexuals are being forced into association with a group whose aims diverge significantly from ours. Whose priorities we are largely opposed to. It’s important to understand that transsexuals, much like the LGB, don't wish to be yoked to this growing madness. Gender ideology erases our struggle just as it undermines what it means to be homosexual. However, every time 'trans' or 'transgender' is used interchangeably with 'transsexual', this unwanted alliance is reinforced.
The Path Forward: Unity in Purpose
It is for this reason that LGB separatists must join forces with transsexual separatists. It is crucial to acknowledge that the erasure of transsexuals is a grievous wrong that must be righted. The queer/ 'trans' movement has done much to obscure this reality, presenting a unified front that hides the fractures within. By aligning with transsexuals, LGB separatists can disarm accusations of ‘transphobia’ and help peel back this veneer, challenging the prevailing narrative of the so-called ‘trans community’ by exposing its militantly anti-transsexual views and actions, including the plight of MtF transsexuals at the hands of organisations that should stand with us.
Reclaiming the LGBT Narrative from the "LGBTQ+"
The task is not a small one. It involves difficult conversations, reclaiming language, reinstating the distinction between sex and gender, and acknowledging the unique, erased struggles of transsexuals. It's a moral and ethical duty—one that transcends political ideologies and speaks to the core of human dignity. It it is a task that is both necessary and urgent if we are to protect the integrity of the real LGBT.
A Clarion Call for a Unified Battlefront
The essence of this alliance is clear: a shared battle against an ideology that seeks to co-opt our distinct identities and distort our experiences. By standing united, the LGB and TS can challenge the ideologues, unmask the frauds, and restore our communities to their rightful focus.
It’s time to rise, united in purpose and vision, against the behemoth of the queer-industrial complex and its gender cult of followers. Together, homosexuals and transsexuals can debunk the nebulous narratives of the 'queer'/'trans' movement and ensure our distinct stories — authentic, raw, and real — are told. This is the struggle that binds us, and it is only by acknowledging and respecting our distinct, but related, battles that we can hope to prevail. The time for action is now.
Tired Transsexual is the pen name of a male-to-female transsexual who lives in the U.K. Her Twitter account is @tiredtransmed.
This is an excellent piece. Thank you for writing it. I particularly found this of value: “Gender ideology erases our struggle just as it undermines what it means to be homosexual. However, every time 'trans' or 'transgender' is used interchangeably with 'transsexual', this unwanted alliance is reinforced."
The sad thing is, the damage has been done and far too great. There's no turning back unfortunately, that is the sad part. I can appreciate your optimism but the lgbt has been hijacked by predators and other putrid people alike...That is a hard paint to wash off. The general public has already made up it's mind on what they believe the lgbt is about. At this point they're not wrong, it's just the LGBTQ as a whole does not represent a trans person individually, (just as all thugs don't represent all black people or Hispanics are not illegals yet trans folks do not have that same luxury) sadly that is not how the general public sees things. Trans people especially are probably one of if not the most generalized group of people today. They use every predator as a scapegoat to use as a perception tool to convince the rest of society that this is what trans people are. We've lost all leverage, we not as in lgbt, but we as in the individual transsexuals who don't believe in a bunch of different genders and acting like insane person on tik tok or being attracted to minors. It's really really really bad now. I mean trans people were never really truly accepted from the start BUT we were never in this place we are now either where tolerance isn't even in the conversation any longer. We are beyond thin ice, and the only way to survive as a transsexual today is to hope you FULLY pass, and just live life and completely check yourself out from the lgbt "community' *cough cult cough* There is literally no other way, unless you want to be mocked, ostracized and possibly assaulted. Even in the super liberal areas, you will start to see a huge difference as even the most tolerant people aka who you would consider allys are starting to have 2nd thoughts. I don't even believe in God but Godspeed....
